PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which can ensure satisfactory fixability only through a laser fixing system for fixing a toner by irradiation with laser light, and which enables obtainment of an image free of deterioration of color reproducibility by an infrared absorbent. SOLUTION: The toner has a shape factor SF-2 wherein 105≤SF-2≤115 and contains, as a colorant, a pigment and a dye which is soluble in a binder resin in the toner, wherein the content X(%) of the dye in the colorant is 10≤X≤30.
