<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of electrophotographic photoreceptors, the method accurately detecting minute defects becoming apparent by repeated use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the inspection method of electrophotographic photoreceptors, first and second steps are carried out. In the first step, a first conductive roller is brought into pressure contact with the surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor and a voltage superimposed with an alternating-current voltage to a direct-current voltage is applied while turning the electrophotographic photoreceptor. In the second step carried out following the first step, a second conductive roller is brought into pressure contact with the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and a direct-current voltage is applied while turning electrophotographic photoreceptor. By the second step, a current value flowing from the second conductive roller to the electrophotographic photoreceptor is measured by a current measurement means, and based on the measured current value, a step of determining presence/absence of a defect in the electrophotographic photoreceptor is performed.
