<p>An anchoring device comprises a support member (2) having a slot (3) open out at one edge thereof adapted for receiving a first cylindrical portion (5) of a sheath terminal (4), gripping means (8) for receiving and retaining a second cylindrical portion (11) of the sheath terminal (4), biasing means (12) for urging the gripping means (8) in a radial direction (A) substantially opposite the direction of insertion (B) of the terminal (4), and guiding means (13) for guiding the gripping means (8) as it is displaced by the biasing means (12). The gripping means (8) has resilient arms (9,10) for receiving the second cylindrical portion (11) therebetween.</p> |
