<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for an elevator provided with a detection device for detecting that a use unpermitted person intrudes into a car even when the use unpermitted person intrudes from an entrance of a building door into the building following a use permitted person. <P>SOLUTION: The control system 10 for the elevator for controlling operation of the car 31 of the elevator in which utilization of a specific use permitted person 21 is only allowed is provided with the detection device 11 for detecting that the use unpermitted person 22 intrudes into the car 31. The detection device 11 is provided on a landing place 27 of a first story where the entrance 25 with locking function is provided, and has a reading means 12 for reading discrimination information recorded on an information recording medium 23 possessed by the use permitted person 21; and a destination story designation means 13 provided in the car 31 and designating the destination story of the car 31.
