PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance manufacturing efficiency by automating everything from the delivery of a splice film to splicing the head end of the film to the tail end of the preceding film only by setting into a tip end positioning device for the splice film, and by eliminating both time for heating and cooling of a film forming device during film loading work, and time for releasing to atmosphere and vacuuming. SOLUTION: In the film joining device 33, the head end of a splice film 4a, pasted with a joining tape 9 and pulled out of a next film roll, is joined to the tail end of a preceding film 4 precedingly fed from a film roll 1. The film joining device includes: a clip-type tip end positioning device 5 of the splice film for positioning the head end of the splice film 4a, pasted with a joining tape 9 and placed on an unwinding part 31, to the delivery position; a delivery device 6 of the splice film for grasping and changing grasping the head end of the splice film 4a using a rotation mechanism 10, and for positioning to a predetermined position for joining; and film joining means for overlapping and pressure joining the preceding film 4 and the splice film 4a using the rotation mechanism 10.
