<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a claw pole type motor which is high in heat dissipation performance, and a manufacturing method of the claw pole type motor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The claw pole type motor 200 comprises a first core 12 having a plurality of claws on its circumference, a second core 16 arranged so as to oppose the first core 12, and a ring-shaped coil 14 sandwiched by the first core 12 and the second core 16, and also comprises a first insulator 13 arranged between the first core 12 and the ring-shaped coil 14, and a second insulator 15 arranged between the second core 16 and the ring-shaped coil 14. The ring-shaped coil 14 is wound so that the longitudinal direction of a flat type conductor coincides with the axial direction thereof, and the thickness X1 of the ring-shaped coil 14 is set to be thicker by a prescribed thickness t3 thicker than a thickness obtained by subtracting the thickness t1 of the first insulator 13 and the thickness t2 of the second insulator 15 from the thickness X2 of an accommodation recess into which the ring-shaped coil 14 formed of the first core 12 and the second core 16 is accommodated.
