<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building management system for managing a building while taking natural phenomena brought to the building into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: An area management server 20 includes a housing history database 22 for storing information about a house 30 and manages the housing 30 based on the information stored in the housing history database 22. The area management server 20 includes a control unit 21 which stores information about earthquakes affecting the housing 30 in the housing history database 22 and which stores information about maintenance performed on the housing 30 in the housing history database 22. The area management server 20 includes an electric wave receiving unit 24 for receiving earthquake information publicly sent in event of an earthquake.
