<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically correct the clocking errors of an on-vehicle timepiece, even at the starting of an engine, with a lowered battery voltage. <P>SOLUTION: When the time display on a display part 12 is controlled, based on a clocked time by a CPU 11 that uses a battery (+B) as a power source, and an output voltage of the battery (+B) becomes lower than a prescribed reset threshold, a reset signal urging reset start is output to the CPU 11, by a power source voltage monitoring part 15. When the CPU 11 receives the reset signal, reset is started; and after finish of reset, time display is controlled by adding to a time after reset of the CPU 11, the reset time of a nonvolatile memory 13 for storing a quantified reset time showing a time from reset start until reset finish, and thereby the suspension period of clocking during a reset operation is supplemented by the reset time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
