<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of discriminating easily the front/rear side of a layered product whose element composition is different between the front and rear sides, and whose front/rear discrimination is difficult or impossible from an appearance. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for discriminating the front/rear side of the layered product including a first layer on one surface of a sheet-shaped nonmetal substrate and a second layer on the opposite surface, wherein the first layer and the second layer have each different element composition, when executing X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) for irradiating at least once an X-ray from the first layer side and the second layer side respectively, an X-ray is irradiated, which has such an energy level as to generate a significant difference between the measuring case wherein the X-ray is irradiated from the first layer side and the measuring case wherein the X-ray is irradiated from the second layer side, in the X-ray spectrum intensity originated in an element included only in either of the first layer and the second layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
