<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an external memory device having an authentication function to be used without installing any special API (Application Programming Interface) or the like at a computer device side. <P>SOLUTION: This memory device includes first and second data storage parts 100 and 110, wherein the first data storage part is configured such that the write and read of input data can be performed according to an instruction from connected external equipment 1 and the second data storage part is configured such that the write of data for securing security can be performed, and that the read of the data can be restricted. This memory device also includes a control part for preparing a file 102 for input and a file 103 for output for the first data storage part, and for making the first data storage part read out the data for securing security stored in the second data storage part based on the input data written from the external equipment in the file for input, and perform an arithmetic operation using the read data for securing security and the input data, and write the arithmetic result in the file for output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
