<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain sprocket for improving the durability of a chain by preventing the string vibration of the chain while reducing a speed fluctuation of the chain due to polygonal motion, to reduce noises and vibration and reduce a peak tension fluctuation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the chain sprocket 100, a distance between a center line x and a tooth face 102 of a tooth 105 in an area on the tooth tip side beyond a pitch circle pc is not shorter than a distance therebetween in an area of the pitch circle pc.
