<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost internal combustion engine easily and reliably connecting a ventilating pipe and a resonator to an intake pipe in a preferable installation posture, and having fewer fastening parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine is provided with: a ventilating pipe 41 which is interposed between an intake pipe and an engine body and forms a ventilating passage 43a ventilating an internal space in an engine body bottom part; and a resonator 50 having an opening 52 opened to an air cleaner hose 35. A connection pipe part 411 of the ventilating piping 41 is integrally coupled with a resonator case 51 of the resonator 50 to form a through passage 54 penetrating through the resonator 50.
