PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fittings which enables mounting of a Shoji even with a step-shaped frame from an indoor side, and a method for mounting the fittings. SOLUTION: The fittings include a frame body installed on a boundary between the inside and outside of a room. The frame body has an indoor-side opening formed in an area of the indoor side of the frame body, and an outdoor-side opening formed in an area of the outdoor side. A part forming the lower edge of the outdoor-side opening is installed at a position lower than a part forming the lower edge of the indoor-side opening. The fittings include: a seat member disposed above the part forming the lower edge of the outdoor-side opening and mounting the Shoji attached from the indoor side in a shiplap method; and a connecting member for connecting the Shoji and the seat member.
