PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus equipped with an exhaust means capable of corresponding to upsizing of a recording head. SOLUTION: A printer includes a preheating part and a recording part, successively in this order from the upstream side in the paper conveying direction. In the preheating part, a recording paper sheet is heated by a heater to accelerate drying of ink afterward and to accelerate evaporation of excess water. The recording part is equipped with a head assembly 10 and the exhaust means 15. The head assembly 10 is composed of a plurality of recording heads 10a arranged in a zigzag manner in the paper width direction. Suction openings 16 constituting the exhaust means 15 are provided between a plurality of the recording heads 10a and are arranged in a zigzag manner like the recording heads 10a. Thereby, even when the head assembly 10 is upsized, the capacity of evacuation does not become insufficient, and dew condensation around the recording heads 10a is surely prevented.
