PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device, which can report the occurrence of an earthquake before arrival of the shock of the earthquake to reduce earthquake disaster while reducing the purchase cost, and is never obtrusive in a setting position. SOLUTION: The alarm device 100 includes: a fault determination part 5 which determines the occurrence of fault when a fault detection output from fault detection sensors 20 and 30 reaches a preset determination threshold; a notification unit 7 capable of manifesting the occurrence of fault when the occurrence of fault is determined; a broadcast signal receiving unit 9 which receives an emergency earthquake broadcasting showing the occurrence of earthquake which is superposed on a transmitting wave aerially propagated from a broadcasting station and an emergency earthquake signal aerially propagated prior to the emergency earthquake broadcasting; and an output control part 6 which allows the manifestation of the emergency earthquake broadcasting from the notification unit 7.
