PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counting device for auxiliary trip meter, capable of reducing errors, without fail, from a travel distance displayed on a trip meter, while reducing the manufacturing cost, when displaying the travel distance on the auxiliary trip meter. SOLUTION: The counter 31, when it receives an count-up signal S, calculates an expected travel time t2 by calculating a travel distance D1, since resetting an expected travel distance D2, until a travel distance Db of the trip meter 22b is counted up B1 and dividing the expected travel distance D2 by vehicle speed. In addition, the counter 31 starts to measure the travel time, from the time it receives the count-up signal S and counts up C1 the travel distance Dc of the auxiliary trip meter 32 by 1 km, when the travel time reaches the expected travel time t2.
