A conductor for connecting terminals of a battery, wherein a terminal connecting conductor (8) can be easily welded to not only a positive-electrode terminal (1) but also a negative-electrode terminal (4), and an assembled battery using the same are provided. The terminal connecting conductor (8) is formed so that a planar portion (8a) composed of an aluminum member is overlapped with a planar portion composed of a second metal having a melting point higher than that of the aluminum member; a first area on which the aluminum member is exposed and a second area on which the second metal is exposed are formed on the surface of one of the planar portions; and the second metal is exposed on the area of the surface of the other planar portion, which is opposed to the second area. The terminal connecting conductor (8) connects the positive-electrode terminal (1) of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery (7), which is composed of the aluminum member, to the negative-electrode terminal (4) of another battery. The first area of the terminal connecting conductor (8) is abutted with the positive-electrode terminal (1), and is secured thereto by welding. The second area is abutted with the negative-electrode terminal (4), and is secured thereto by welding.
