<p>Disclosed is a differential transmission circuit wherein a high resistance to electrostatic breakdown is realized without deteriorating transmission signals. The differential transmission circuit is comprised of ESD protection elements (5, 6), a common mode filter (9), ESD protection diodes (12, 13), and resistors (14, 15). The ESD protection diodes (12, 13) are provided between and connected to transmission lines (3, 4) and the ground. In the common mode filter (9), an inductor element (7) provided between and serially connected to the transmission line (3) and a transmission line (10) is magnetically coupled to an inductor element (8) provided between and serially connected to the transmission line (4) and a transmission line (11). In the ESD protection diodes (12, 13), the cathodes thereof are connected to the transmission lines (10, 11), and the anodes thereof are connected to the ground. In the resistors (14, 15), one terminal thereof is connected to the transmission lines (10, 11), and the other terminal thereof is connected to the transmission lines (16, 17). The resistance values of the resistors (16, 17) are 10 to 15 ohm. The capacitances of the ESD protection elements (5, 6) are smaller than 0.3 pF. The clip voltages of the ESD protection diodes (12, 13) are smaller than 10 V.</p> |
