摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently encode a moving image having luminance changing in time, such as a fading image or a dissolving image. <P>SOLUTION: A variable-length decoder 303 decodes encoded data 300 including a predictive error signal representing an error of a predictive image signal for a moving image signal having a luminance signal and two color difference signals, motion vector information 414, and index information 415 representing a combination of at least one reference image number and a predictive parameter prepared in advance for each of the luminance signal and the two color difference signals. A frame memory/predictive image generator 308 generates a predictive image signal 412 in accordance with the combination of the reference image number and the predictive parameter represented by the decoded index information, and generates a reproduced moving image signal by using the predictive error signal and the predictive image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
