<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system that recovers from a failure state without reducing the performance at the time of normal operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a server process 20 fails, a retry control section 34 controls a start request section 35 to restart the server process 20 via a process start section 11 of a system control process 10 (S31-32) and instructs a server IF acquisition section 31 to acquire a server IF from the restarted server process 20 (S33).
