PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red toner for electrostatic image development which suppresses a change of the hue of an image according to the kind of recording material on which the image is formed. SOLUTION: The red toner for electrostatic image development includes: a binder resin; a coloring agent; and a release agent, wherein the red toner for electrostatic image development satisfies the following formulae: 0.32of the red toner; and A represents a hue angle of the image expressed by an L*a*b* color coordinate space, provided that a hue angle of 0°is on the a*+axis and a hue angle of 90°is on the b*+axis.
