PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular type electronic device increasing efficiency of power consumption for cooling and suppressing noise and vibration, and to provide a modular type cooling unit. SOLUTION: The modular type electronic device characterized in that a functioning part (2) implementing a main function of the modular type electronic device and a cooling part (1) cooling the functioning part such that the functioning part stably exhibits the function are configured to be separable in structure and the cooling part (1) has a cooling mechanism (3) operation of which is controlled by the functioning part.
