PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method, using a T type tundish which facilitates the floating of inclusions, which can surely float inclusions with due consideration to molten steel throughput. SOLUTION: In the casting method for a continuous casting device, a tundish provided at the continuous casting device 1 is formed of a T type tundish 3 provided with a fluxing chamber 10 to be charged with a molten steel 2 from a ladle 9 and a distribution chamber 11 charging the molten steel 2 in the fluxing chamber 10 into a mold 4, and the T type tundish 3 is provided with a partition gate 19 partitioning the fluxing chamber 10 and the distribution chamber 11 so as to optimize the shape of the partition gate 19.
