<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a traveling toy to appropriately read data set in a course during traveling. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Course parts CP1 to CP16 constitute a course 60 having travel surfaces CPB1 to CPB16 on which the traveling toy 10 travels. A plurality of data markers DM1 to DMn for the traveling toy to read data are provided in a first area CPBR1 of the travel surfaces or wall surfaces 63L, 63R, 64L and 64R of the course, and a plurality of clock markers CM1 to CM16 for the traveling toy to read a clock to sample data are provided in a second area CPBL1 of the travel surfaces or wall surfaces. At that time, the data markers are provided along a first direction D1 in the first area. The clock markers are provided along the first direction in the second area provided in the second direction of the first area when a vertical direction with respect to the first direction is the second direction D2.
