PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laundry monitoring system providing a series of operations such as monitoring, conveyance, transport to a dressing area, and storage of hung work uniforms, and contributing to efficient and simple management of the work uniforms. SOLUTION: The laundry monitoring system 1, inspecting the work uniforms 2 carried out of a control area of a radioactive material handling facility for contamination by radioactive materials, is equipped with: a conveyance section 20 conveying the hung work uniforms 2; and a vertical laundry monitor 10 monitoring the work uniforms 2 carried in through a carry-in entrance 11 having a nearly recessed side view, with a radiation detector to detect the contamination.
