Disclosed is a display panel producing method comprised of a step of forming a substrate (60) for a display device by providing a plurality of organic electroluminescence elements (40) on a fist substrate (20) provided with a color filter (30) in which a plurality of filter elements are disposed, so that the organic electroluminescence elements (40) overlap with the filter elements, respectively. Each of the organic electroluminescence elements (40) has the same structure wherein a connecting electrode in which a connecting terminal (46a) is formed is provided. The display panel producing method is further comprised of a step of preparing a driving substrate (50) provided with a driving circuit for driving the organic electroluminescence elements and a connecting portion (52a) electrically connected to the driving circuit; a step of disposing a bonding member (74X) on a surface of the display panel substrate or the driving substrate so as to surround the organic electroluminescence elements when the display panel substrate and the driving substrate are bonded to each other; and a step of bonding the display panel substrate to the driving substrate so that the connecting terminal is abutted with the connecting portion.
