<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular motor whose size is reduced by reducing a space for installing a bearing provided in the motor. <P>SOLUTION: The annular motor includes an annular stator 1, an annular rotor 2 rotated along the stator 1, and a bearing 4 that rotatably supports the rotor 2 on the stator 1. The bearing 4 is comprised of one four-contact, single-row angular ball bearing. The ball 42 of the bearing 4 is arranged in a position adjoining the stator 1 in the direction of the motor shaft on the outer radius side of the inner circumferential surface of the stator 1. It is unnecessary to install two bearings and the space for installing bearings is reduced.
