PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor abnormality determination device for an automatic transmission equipped with first and second position sensors and capable of preventing inappropriate shift control even when output terminals of the first and second position sensors are short-circuited. SOLUTION: In the automatic transmission having positions such as P, R, N and D, the sensor abnormality determination device for the automatic transmission detects abnormality from output of the first and second position sensors 24a and 24b generating output showing the position selected in accordance with first and second output characteristicsαandβset for a rotation angle of a control shaft rotating in accordance with selection operation of a select lever by a driver.
