PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant additive which is capable of imparting friction-adjusting performance and rust-prevention performance, which are inevitable for practical use of a lubricant comprising ionic liquid, can be dissolved or dispersed when added to the ionic liquid and does not interfere with performance of the ionic liquid as a base oil.
