PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an foamed resin molded article from locally degrading in the strength. SOLUTION: A molding method comprises a supplying process of supplying a melt expandable resin 70 by injection into a cavity 27 formed by compartment inside a mold 4, a foaming process of foaming the melt expandable resin 70 inside the cavity 27 by moving the mold 4 in the mold opening direction, and a molding process of molding the foamed resin molded article by hardening the melt expandable resin 70 after completing the movement of the mold 4. In the foaming process, the movement of a circumferential part adjacent to a weld generation part 23 (a part corresponding with the weld part of the foamed resin molded article) is started in the mold opening direction, and then, the movement of the weld generation part 23 in the mold opening direction, is commenced after the lapse of a specified delay time.
