The method involves detecting clear images and filled images in a mask phase with a matrix-shaped array of pixels, and storing the images in a data storage (22). The images are processed such that gray values of each pixel of the images are arranged in an ascending order. Mask images (24) are calculated from the processed images such that small gray values are averaged for forming the mask images, and an actual X-ray image (25) is detected. The actual X-ray image is subtracted from the mask images for producing road map images (14), and the road map images are reproduced.
