The train has a cam carrier (4) that is fixed on a rotatable base camshaft in two end positions by a locking device (23). The cam carrier is axially movable on the base camshaft. The locking device has two spring-tensioned latching balls (27, 28) that are arranged in a borehole i.e. through-hole (24), of the base camshaft. A helical compression spring (29) is arranged between the latching balls. A longitudinal axis (30) of the borehole is inclined with respect to an axis of rotation (33) of the base cam shaft at an angle (alpha) of 60 degree.
