<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation panel that is highly rigid, ensures satisfactory operation and has a wide movable range despite a low cost, thereby allowing the body of an image forming apparatus to be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: The operation panel 41 provided in the front of the body of the apparatus so as to be rotatable around a horizontal shaft 58 and a vertical shaft 59 has corners 56 each of which is chamfered along an arc.
