PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner transporting device that transports toner through a toner transport path without allowing progress of toner aggregation. SOLUTION: The toner transporting device includes a toner transporting coil (toner transporting member) 35 at least the part of which freely expands and contracts in a length direction in a pipe (toner transport path forming member) 41. A length control member 42 is attached to a downstream end of the pipe, and the toner transporting coil is pressed against the length control member and bent, so that the length of the toner transporting coil is controlled. By rotating the toner transporting coil, toner is transported through the pipe, passes through a toner passing hole of the length control member, and is transported to a waste toner tank for disposal or to a developing device for recycling. The upstream portion of the toner transporting coil is wound around a coil shaft 52, and the coil shaft has a shape of an impeller which rotates and flicks off the toner which has entered the toner transporting coil, to the surroundings.
