<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic control apparatus for precisely specifying failures generated in a communication line. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic control equipment for transmitting and receiving a signal via a pair of communication lines 4a and 4b is provided with a communication driver 15 for performing communication by forming a communication waveform by adding a potential difference to the communication lines, and for forming an idle state by applying an idle voltage to each communication line in an idle time, when communication is not performed; an idle voltage on/off circuit 17 for controlling the application of the idle voltage, to each communication line 4a and 4b; a voltage measuring circuit 19 for measuring the voltage of each communication line 4a and 4b; and a defective site determining circuit 20 for specifying a defective site generated in each communication line 4a and 4b. The idle voltage on/off circuit 17 interrupts the application of the idle voltage to each communication line 4a and 4b, and the defective site determining circuit determines the defective site generated in the communication lines 4a and 4b, based on the voltage of each communication line 4a and 4b measured by the voltage-measuring circuit 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
