<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decline in sealing performance caused by adhesion of dust included in exhaust gas and suppress leakage of exhaust gas, in a damper device fitted to an exhaust pipe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The damper device 1 includes: a storage chamber 4 having an inflow port 5 formed so that exhaust gas with which dust is mixed is made to flow horizontally and a discharge port 6 formed so that the exhaust gas is discharged horizontally; an inlet side flap type damper 2 arranged so as to block the inflow port 5; and an outlet side flap type damper 3 arranged so as to block the outflow port 6. The inlet side flap damper 2 and the outlet side flap damper 3 are positioned on the vertical upper side from the inflow port 5 and the outflow port 6 during valve closing. Thus, this can suppress adhesion of dust included in the exhaust gas, maintain high sealing performance and suppress leakage of exhaust gas. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
