<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot method using a nonvolatile memory for expanding a function of a boot loader more easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the boot method using a nonvolatile memory, a communication request is received from a communication partner who can transmit a boot loader expansion program for expanding the boot loader, and after receiving the communication request, when a write request command is received from the communication partner, reception of the boot loader expansion program is waited, and the boot loader expansion program is written to the boot loader expansion part 26 of an NAND flash memory 26 when the boot loader expansion program is received.
