PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the motor speed of a coupling snap machine employing an electric motor as a driving source for snapping a coupling, and efficiently and stably snapping the coupling until becoming a stop torque set midway in a shoulder interference region. SOLUTION: A speed pattern in which a high-speed steady speed is achieved at a screw interference starting point where interference between screw portions starts, and a low-speed steady speed is achieved after a seal interference starting point where interference between seal portions starts is set as a speed reference. A control gain of a feedback control system in the high-speed steady speed and a control gain in the feedback control system in a speed reduction region where the high-speed steady speed is reduced to the low-speed steady speed are changed and set to an automatic speed regulator (ASR) 9.
