Class 97(1) [Also in Group XXXII] An anti-dazzle device suitable for use on a vehicle comprises a number of opaque sectors C1...C8 rotatable about the same axis and superimposed upon each other when in their inoperative positions, the sector C1, which is fixed to a driving shaft, having one or more slits S, and co-operating key and notch means being provided on the sectors so that when the sector C1 is rotated the other sectors in turn are caused to rotate and take up positions to form with the sector C1 a complete disc with the slit or slits S uncovered. All the sectors except sector C8 are provided with keys as for example key B2 in sector C2, and all the sectors except sector C8 are formed with arcuate notches each extending over approximately an angle of 45 degrees, each key engaging in the notch of an adjacent sector to transmit the rotation when sector Cl is driven. The narrow base portion of each sector except sector C1 is offset as shown for example with respect to sectors C2 and C8 so that the main portions of the sectors are close together in their inoperative superposed position.</p> |
