<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform efficient power generation while satisfactorily discharging water generated in a reaction gas passage, with a simple and economical structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a power generating unit 12 forming a fuel cell stack 10, a first separator 14, a first electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 16a, a second separator 18, a second electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 16b, and a third separator 20 are provided. In the first separator 14, a first fuel gas passage 36 is in communication with a fuel gas inlet communicating hole 32a and a fuel gas outlet communication hole 32b through a first inlet side communicating path portion 38a and a first outlet side communicating path portion 38b. The cross-sectional passage area of the first outlet side communicating path portion 38b is set to be larger than the cross-sectional passage area of the first inlet side communicating path portion 38a. In the second separator 18, a second fuel gas passage 48 is in communication with the fuel gas inlet communicating hole 32a and the fuel gas outlet communicating hole 32b through a second inlet side communicating path portion 50a and a second outlet side communicating path portion 50b. The cross-sectional area of the second outlet side communicating hole 50b is set to be smaller than the cross-sectional passage area of the second inlet side ommunicating path portion 50a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
