<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which is improved in convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 includes: an image projecting means 2 for displaying a projection image Fg by forming and projecting on a projection screen Sc an image corresponding to image information; a control means 5 for controlling the image projecting means 2; and a distance measuring means 4 for measuring distances from a position, where the image projecting means 2 is disposed, to four corner positions of a projection area projected on the projection screen Sc.
