<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample testing system which allows retest to be performed in an efficient fashion. <P>SOLUTION: A blood analysis device 1 (sample testing system) includes a sample transport apparatus 4, including a transporting member capable of transporting a rack 101 for holding a plurality of sample vessels; a measuring unit 3 for measuring the samples in the sample vessels transported to a taking-in position 43a; and a controller 5, that controls the transporting member so that the plurality of sample vessels are sequentially transported to the taking-in position 43a and the rack 101 is transported in a transport downstream direction (arrow X1 direction) and determines whether the retesting of the sample is required, based on the measurement result. When the retesting of the sample is determined to be required, the controller 5 changes the transport direction from the transport downstream direction (arrow X1 direction) to a transport upstream direction (arrow X2 direction), and controls the transport member so that the sample vessel to be tested is transported to the taking-in position 43a again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
