<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification membrane treatment apparatus which can improve the purified water recovery rate without using a coagulant by efficiently treating physical washing wastewater discharged from the water purification membrane treatment apparatus, and can surely remove pathogenic protozoa. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water purification membrane treatment apparatus includes the following: a first membrane treatment device for subjecting first raw water to membrane filtration treatment; a second membrane treatment device for subjecting physical washing wastewater (second raw water) from the first membrane treatment device to further membrane filtration; a third membrane treatment device for concentrating physical washing wastewater (third raw water) from the second membrane treatment device, wherein a filling rate of a membrane module, represented by a percentage of a ratio of the area of a membrane contacting with a membrane module head-side bonded part of the third membrane treatment device to that of the membrane module head-side bonded part, is 30% or below; and a dehydrator for dehydrating sludge concentrated by the third membrane treatment device.
