<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a tuner unit having high receiving sensitivity even in a weak electric field. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tuner unit includes: a mixer 117 in which a high frequency signal is supplied to one input; an oscillator 123 for supplying an oscillation signal to the other input of the mixer 117; a PLL circuit 125 for PLL controlling an oscillation frequency of the oscillator 123; an output terminal 113 to which an output signal from the mixer 117 is supplied; a reference oscillator 126 for generating a reference signal to the PLL circuit 125; an electric/optical converter 128 for receiving the supply of an oscillation signal from the reference oscillator 126 and converting an electric signal into an optical signal; and a photoelectric converter 130 for converting the optical signal outputted from the electric/optical converter 128 into an electric signal.
