<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bent heat exchanger and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of improving heat exchanging efficiency and being easily manufactured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this bent heat exchanger in which each of a plurality of flat tube 3 for heat exchange arranged in parallel with each other, is bent at an intermediate section in the longitudinal direction, flat tubular sections 8 at both sides through the bent section 7 are communicated and connected with header pipes 2a, 2b, and corrugate fins 4 are respectively disposed between the flat tubes 3, the bent sections 7 are respectively composed of a lateral bent section 7a bent roughly into the S-shape in the width direction of the flat tube 3, and a longitudinal bent section 7b folded in the height direction of the flat tube 3 from a central section of the lateral bent section 7a, and end sections of the flat tubular sections 8 extending to the longitudinal bent sections 7b are inserted into slits 6 formed on the header pipes 2a, 2b and communicated and connected by brazing.
