<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary locking mechanism of a sliding door, which is easily manufactured without increasing costs and can prevent the sliding door from being rebounded or opening or closing by itself. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this temporary locking mechanism of a sliding door having a small-diameter sash roller 5a attached to an outer sliding door 2a which is fitted to a groove-like guide rail 3 and rotated and moved for opening and closing, the sash roller 5a is formed so that the outer diameter thereof at the center is larger than that at both edges, and a triangular hole 4a into which part of the wheel outer peripheral surface of the sash roller 5a falls and which is formed in a generally isoscelis triangular shape is formed on the bottom surface of the guide rail 3 at a position where the sash roller 5a must be stopped so as to face in the direction that the sash roller 5a can rotate and move at the apex portion of the apex of the triangular hole 4a.
