PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for colorimetry which enable the production of a light source having the same hue by quantifying a color which an individual senses. SOLUTION: In the method for colorimetry wherein a chrominance value is determined on the basis of an electric signal according to colored light information extracted from the light emitted from the light source and on color matching function data and spectral radiation luminance data on the light source for color matching, the color matching function data on the individual are added to the color matching function data and the chrominance value is corrected in consideration of the sensitivity of the color matching function of the individual. Also, the apparatus 1 for colorimetry includes, in its constitution: a database part 6; a colored light information extracting part 2 which takes in the light emitted from the light source and extracts the colored light information on RGB; a photoelectric conversion part 3 which converts the colored light information into the electric signal; and a signal processing part 4 which calculates the chrominance value in consideration of the sensitivity of the color matching function of the individual on the basis of the electric signal taken in from the photoelectric conversion part 3, the color matching function data on the individual taken in from the database part 6, the color matching function data and the spectral radiation luminance data on the light source for color matching.
