PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively absorb collision energy acting when a vehicle collides, by effectively improving rigidity in a vehicle body with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This lower vehicle body structure of the vehicle has a pair of right-left front side frames 2 and 2 extending to the front side of the vehicle from an installation part of a dash panel 1, a floor panel 3 for forming a bottom surface part of a cabin, and a tunnel part 4 of swelling a central part in the vehicle width direction of this floor panel 3 to the cabin inside. A side sill 7 of a closed cross-sectional shape of extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, is arranged in both side parts in the vehicle width direction of the floor panel 3, and a torque box 32 of a closed cross-sectional shape of extending along the dash panel 1, is arranged so as to connect a front part of this side sill 7 and a rear end part of the front side frames 2.
