PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mahjong pinball game machine having a function of swiftly calculating the minimum number of tiles necessary to win for completing a finishing combination in the present hand. SOLUTION: A necessary minimum number determining means of the mahjong pinball game machine includes: a tile sorting means for sorting symbol data of the present hand by kind to be stored in a prescribed storage area of a storage device; a hand intrinsic value computing means for computing hand composing values of respective tiles by referring to a hand composing value table based on the sorted symbol data of the respective tiles; a flag data acquiring means for acquiring flag data on acquirable meld composing patterns by referring to a meld composing table for respective hand intrinsic values based on the hand intrinsic value; a means for finding an apparent minimum number of tiles to win from all the combinations of the meld composing pattern acquired by kind of tile; and a means for finding an actual minimum number of tiles to win by determining whether the meld composing pattern with the apparent minimum number of tiles to win can complete a finishing combination or not.
