<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment material for watery stool and a method for producing the treatment material which solidifies watery stool to the condition that the solidified stool is to be discharged directly through a drain pipe or the like in addition to be easily handled. <P>SOLUTION: The dried powder comprising, as main components, shochu lees, which includes starch derived from fermentation materials such as sweet potatoes, sugars, fibers, organic compounds including organic acids, and cells of koji mold and yeast used in the brewing process, is used as the treatment material for watery stool. The shochu lees shows high similarity in components to animal stool which comprises bacteria and food-derived components. Therefore, even after absorbing watery stool, the dried powder mainly comprising the shochu lees keeps the similarity in components to animal stool and then the solidified treatment material for watery stool does not cause any environmental problems at all even if discharged directly through the drain pipe or the like.
